There is no doubt that teleworking helps people get more work done. They don't even have to work away from the office all of the time to see benefits.
Recruitment company soldiers on despite snow
At the beginning of February, nearly all the UK was affected in some way by heavy snowfall, according to the Home Office, this cost the British economy somewhere is the region of £3bn. This makes for slightly depressing reading, but it doesn’t need to be the case as one ISN customer, recruitment specialists Hartwell Buck Ltd, showed.
Hartwell Buck initially put in a Citrix Xenapp remote access solution to cope with growing demand for people working from home and sales teams constantly out of the office. During the snow fall, every member of staff was able to log on remotely and get in a full day’s work.
Hartwell's Finance Manager Barbara Hardwick commented:
"Citrix XenApp has been a lifeline during the recent snowfalls when none of us could get to the office. We were able to carry on working as normal but from home. It is great to see the pay off from investing in the right technology."
